Image: by Jewel Caruso Brian Garsh, current part-time doctoral student, has accepted a new job at Kennesaw State University as their director of student engagement and belonging. In this new role, he will oversee the new class-year identity program (FLIGHT), first-year student experience and connections, and support student development to enhance the overall student experience. Garsh's goal is to help increase KSU student retention and graduation rates by working closely with the enrollment services department housing and residential life, and other student academic success unit across campus. Garsh is ready to hit the ground running in this new position, stating, "I am really excited about this position because of its focus on holistic student support. Students experience their institution as one entity rather then organizationally structured into different divisions or departments." Garsh looks foward to collaborating with colleagues in academic affairs and student affairs to support KSU students. Congratulations to Garsh. Type of News/Audience: General News
