Image: by Jewel Caruso Jim Morrison (EdD, 2011) was recently named the new chief strategy officer for the University of Oklahoma. This role will involve overseeing the coordinated implementation of strategic plans to “ensure university-wide alignment and progress across all three OU campuses.” President Joseph Harrox Jr spoke on Morrison’s career, “Morrison has focused his career on higher education strategy and improvement, and we are incredibly fortunate to have him on board as our chief strategy officer. As we continue to pursue higher levels of excellence at OU, it is crucial that we are guided by a united vision and strategy that stretches across our university. Jim’s expertise will help drive our key institutional goals forward, ensuring consistent progress and growth.” Previously, Morrison was the associate provost for strategic initiatives at the University of Notre Dame. Morrison’s projects and interests throughout his career have included real estate, scientific wellness, ethics, and military/veteran affairs. Morrison holds masters in higher education administration from Columbia University and doctorate in higher education management from the McBee Institute at UGA.
