Davonte' Jerel Biggers

Doctoral Student

Davonte' Jerel Biggers is a higher education professional with over 5 years of experience in diversity, equity, & inclusion, academic affairs, and business operations within higher education. Most recently, Biggers served as the assistant director of Diversity, Inclusion, & Community Engagement at the Laney School of Graduate Studies at Emory University. Bigger's research interests include: social justice in higher education; critical race theory within post-secondary contexts; and the intersectionality of race, gender, and sexuality in collegiate settings.

Biggers' received his Master's of Professional Studies in Higher Education Administration from Georgetown University's School of Continuing Studies in May of 2022 -- where his Capstone focused on diversifying faculty ranks at predominantly white colleges and universities. He received his Bachelor's of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina -- where he also participated in a study abroad program in Germany and became a lifelong member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity Inc.
