EdD, 2021 Amanda Yu-Nguyen is a public health professional with over ten years experience in higher education, focusing on college health and well-being, with particular attention to the first- and second-year experience. She currently serves as the director of the Center for Healthful Living at Oxford College of Emory University. She is accountable for the oversight and coordination of the components of the center, which include physical education curriculum and instructor development, health education and promotion, facilities management, intercollegiate athletics and sports medicine, intramural and recreational programming, and assessment. The center strives to educate the mind and exercise the body in the context of a small, liberal arts institution. Prior to joining Oxford, Yu-Nguyen worked at the University of Michigan’s Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention Program, where she developed and implemented harm reduction training to at-risk adolescent populations. Yu-Nguyen holds a Bachelor’s degree in brain, behavior and cognitive science and a Master’s degree in public health, both from the University of Michigan.
