EdD, 1994 Timothy Letzring is the senior associate provost for academic affairs at the University of Central Florida. His broad portfolio includes academic program development, planning, and assessment. He will partner with stakeholders throughout campus to improve the effectiveness of the UCF educational experience. Tim had previoulsy served as Dean of the College of Education and Human Services at Texas A&M University – Commerce. Prior to this, Tim served as Chair and Professor in the Department of Leadership and Counselor Education at the University of Mississippi and also served the Assistant Professor of Education Law at the University of South Carolina, concentrating in the legal aspects of higher education institutions and P-12 schools. He holds a law degree from Stetson University, is a member of the Texas Bar, in addition to his Ed.D. from the Institute of Higher Education. In his service and scholarship role, Tim has made presentations at international, national, regional, and local meetings on legal and organizational issues affecting education and has conducted legal workshops for faculty and administration at various schools and universities around the country. He also served as co-editor for the College Student and the Courts for 14 years, with fellow alumnus Dr. Don Gehring and Professor Emeritus Dr. D. Parker Young. He has several publications in the areas of law and education, higher education organization and governance, institutional research, and student issues.
