Image: In May 2023, the Huntingdon College Board of Trustees named Dr. Anthony Leigh (EdD, 2019) as the college’s 15th President. Leigh’s tenure as president will begin on July 1, 2024. Leigh has been a member of the Huntingdon College administration since 2009. Reflecting on his professional experiences at Huntingdon College, Leigh stated, “I’m blessed with a great staff that has helped me successfully serve in both roles. Serving Huntingdon students fuels me, and generating financial support for the institution is a tremendous way to enhance the student experience.” Leigh also stated his participation in Cohort 5 of the Institute’s Executive Ed.D. Program was a game changer for his professional advancement. He stated: “The knowledge I gained, the wisdom I gleaned, and the connections I gathered have made me a much better administrator and leader for Huntingdon. My cohort was an exceedingly gifted collection of professionals who continue to inspire me in their work, and those friendships continue to mean the world to me. What higher education should be is what I experienced in the doctoral program at UGA.” Before July 1, 2024, Leigh will continue serving as Huntingdon College’s Senior Vice President for Student and Institutional Development and Dean of Students. In this unique role, Leigh serves as the Dean of Students and chief advancement officer for the college, overseeing development, alumni relations, enrollment management, governmental affairs, communications, marketing, and career services.
