Image: by Jewel Caruso Jillian Morn, a doctoral candidate, recently gave two presentations for the Assessment Institute. Her first presentation was co-presented with Jackie Belanger of UW covering how to build a compelling case with data, "Data Storytelling in Assessment: A Practical Guide to Narrative Centered Research Design, Visualizations, and Reporting." Morn also participated in an hour-long concurrent session with co-presenter Jackie Belanger and Sean Gehrke (UW), "Break Down Silos in Assessment Work: Intentional Community Building at a Large Decentralized University." Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) hosted the Assessment Institute conference. It is also the oldest and largest higher education even in the US focused on assessment and improvement. Morn has spent ten years in IR and assessment; she primarily focuses on program evaluation and institutional effectiveness. She currently works in the Office of Educational Assessment at the University of Washington as a quantitative research scientist. Type of News/Audience: Research
