Dr. Erik Ness received a First-Year Odyssey Teaching Award for his class “Research Evidence, Alternative Facts, and Fake News.” In his class, he guided students to seek and evaluate research evidence. He engaged students through practice with critical examination of ideas and informed debate.

David Tanner (PhD student) was awarded on the Walter Barnard Hill Award for his many workforce development projects and his groundbreaking work that redirected more than 7000 youth in the juvenile justice system to receive the support they needed. Virtual awards ceremony available at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCGODZL4oII (time stamp 38:45-39:27).
