Image: IHE postdoctoral associate Maurice Shirley was named a fellow in the 2020 NCES Data Institute: Using Federal Datasets to Support Research on Postsecondary Education. The Institute provides an intensive introduction to NCES datasets and research methodologies using large-scale national data sources. Shirley said, "I am excited about the prospect of meeting likeminded scholars, who are also dedicated to enhancing education. It's a unique opportunity to further develop a scholarly research agenda that has a positive impact on US higher education." Through a highly-competitive process, AIR representatives selected 30 new fellows from universities, governmental agencies and organizations across the United States. The program includes a 5-week online course, culminating in a collaborative capstone project, and concludes with a 3-day meeting in D.C. this summer. IHE celebrates Maurice's accomplishment and our collective success having five fellows in five years. 2020- Maurice Shirley 2019- Meredith Billings and Melissa Whatley 2018- Jennifer May-Trifiletti 2016- Kelly Slaton More information at: https://www.airweb.org/collaborate-learn/professional-development-training/courses-workshops/nces-da...
