As part of UGA's Certificate in Diversity & Inclusion (CDI) for university faculty and staff, Amy Stich will teach a course on first-generation college students on Wednesday, November 6.

Her course, The First-Generation College Student: Inclusion, Empowerment and Academic Success, aligns with the celebrations surrounding National First-Generation Student Day. It will be an interactive workshop that dives into what it means to be a first-generation college student at a research-intensive university. Participants will identify and discuss the ways in which faculty and staff can best support first-generation students at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Attendance is limited to registered attendees only (see UGA's Training & Development class listing)
