Open Faculty Position: Assistant Professor

The Institute of Higher Education is seeking a tenure-track assistant professor of higher education beginning August 2017.

The Institute is committed to advancing higher education policy, management, and leadership through research, graduate education, and outreach.

Qualifications: Candidates and nominees should have 1) a doctorate earned by June 2017 in the social sciences, public policy, management, education, or a related field, 2) in-depth preparation in qualitative or quantitative methodologies (preparation in both is highly desirable), 3) an outstanding record of scholarly research on higher education, and 4) successful teaching experience at the graduate level. The candidate will be expected to advise students, teach in the Institute’s Ph.D., executive doctoral and master’s programs, and conduct independent research. Priority will be given to applicants who show a focused emerging program of research with the potential for securing external funding.
