Matt Grandstaff

Doctoral Student

Matt Grandstaff is a doctoral student at the Institute of Higher Education. He is currently serving as a graduate research assistant to Karen Webber. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Florida and a Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from the University of North Florida. While at the University of North Florida, he held roles in both Student Affairs and Institutional Research. In these roles, he was tasked with supporting accreditation efforts, assessment of departments and degree programs, and various internal research projects.

Matt’s research interests now focus on applying statistical methods to the factors that influence student success in higher education. He is also interested in the impact of state-level financial policies at the individual student level.
