ADVANCE REGISTRATION REQUIRED As an associate professor of higher education at University of Loyola Chicago, Dr. Morgan explores the relationship between postsecondary education institutions and political and democratic implications for minoritized groups. His work centers the pursuit of equity in all of his projects with a commitment to research and practice that cultivates moves towards realizing increased democratic engagement facilitated by postsecondary education institutions living more fully into their espoused missions. Through his scholarship and activities at the Diverse Democracy and Higher Education Project, he hopes to demonstrate to policy makers what higher education can and should be doing as our democracy faces new challenges — cultivating citizens who are politically aware and engaged, able to interact across difference, and equitably navigating to and matriculating through higher education.
