Emily Chen-Bendle

Associate Director of Distance Learning

Emily Chen-Bendle is the Associate Director of Distance Learning at the McBee Institute, serving the Institute’s Executive Ed.D. in Higher Education Management, Online M.Ed., and Governor's Teaching Fellows programs.

Emily’s professional background includes teaching experience in both community college and university settings, as well as industry experience as a marketer in both non-profit and for-profit organizations, including Target Corporation and America Online. 

As a Ph.D. student at the McBee Institute, she served as a Graduate Assistant for the Institute’s Executive Ed.D. in Higher Education Management (2020-2025), as well as for Dr. Gregory Wolniak (2021-2023).  She also served as an Instructional Assistant for Quantitative Methods in Higher Education I and II, and for Introduction to Research in Higher Education.

Emily holds a B.A. in English from Columbia University, an M.B.A. from the Darden School at the University of Virginia, and an Ed.D. from Western University (the University of Western Ontario), Canada.  She will graduate in May 2025 with a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the McBee Institute.
