Trisha Barefield

Dr. Barefield is an Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership in Augusta University's Department of Teaching and Leading within the College of Education and Human Development. Following her M.Ed. from the McBee Institute, she went on to earn her PhD through UGA’s Learning, Leadership, and Organization Development program. 

She also completed UGA’s Interdisciplinary Qualitative Studies certificate. Her research focuses on adult learning in higher education contexts, particularly graduate education, with publications including “Emergence Studios: Bringing Collaboration and Iteration into the Social Sciences” and Reimagining Adult Education as World Building: Creating Learning Ecologies for Transformation.
