Saeedah Hickman

Saeedah Hickman is the Senior Director in the Office of the Executive Vice President for Research at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

She had served as the Chief of Staff to the Executive Vice President for Health Affairs and Dean at Morehouse School of Medicine. In that role, she was a strategic advisor responsible for structuring and prioritizing programs and led the execution of key transformational initiatives - activating cross-discipline collaboration, driving tactical processes, creating efficiencies, and advancing protocols that help Morehouse School of Medicine deliver on its institutional strategic plan and mission.

Formerly the Assistant Dean of Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer for the School of Health Technology and Management at Stony Brook Medicine, Saeedah advised institutional leaders on a broad spectrum of issues, including human resources, facilities, fiscal management and sustainability, accreditation, and research. She was a member of the institution’s Financial Sustainability Committee and co-chaired the Tuition Revenue working group amid the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Saeedah has also held various leadership roles in research administration, human resources, and teaching at the City University of New York and State University of New York. For over 15 years, Saeedah has been, and continues to be, a seasoned administrator, change agent, and thought leader in higher education.
