Educational Consultant Co-founder of Transforming Mediation Frank's doctorate in counseling psychology is from Colorado State University. She has served as president of the International Academy of Dispute Resolution, vice president for academic affairs at Middle Georgia College, associate vice president at Gainesville State College, dean of undergraduate and university studies at Kennesaw State University, and department head of psychology and sociology at North Georgia College and State University. She has been a professor of psychology at Middle Georgia College, Gainesville State College, Kennesaw State University, and associate professor at the University of Virginia at Wise. Most recently her text, “The Mind of a Peacemaker: The Psychology of Mediation” went into third edition (2023). Her research and publications have focused on mediation, psychotherapy, as well as women’s leadership. She is an editor of the AMIT International Journal of Deliberative Research and on the advisory board for the National Journal for Legal Research and Innovative Ideas. In 2021 Dr. Frank was awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Georgia in Tbilisi (not affiliated with our US institution). Previously she was named to the scientific council at the University of Białystok. She has received the Distinguished Provider Award in Counseling and has been the recipient of grants, national leadership awards, teaching and diversity leadership awards, and awards for community service and for peacemaking. Dr. Frank serves on the International Women’s Think Tank, heads the international law school tournament board for the International Academy of Dispute Resolution, and provides training for mediators and mediation trainers internationally.
