MEd, 2019 Kate Lantz is the senior director of alumni relations in the Office of Alumni Relations at the University of Georgia. In her role, she is responsible for the oversight, vision, and strategic planning for programs executed by the Alumni Relations team, as well as developing new programming opportunities for engagement of all alumni, family, and friends. She oversees and executes specific events and programs for the Office of Alumni Relations, including Alumni Board meetings and orientations, quarterly Alumni Director staff meetings, an annual Volunteer Training conference, and the Alumni Tours travel program. Previously, Kate served as the assistant director of development for the UGA College of Engineering. She also previously served as the associate director for alumni events in the Office of Development and Alumni Relations, where she oversaw and assisted with various large and small scale university-wide events both on and off campus. She previously worked for two and a half years in the university’s Honors Program Development and External Affairs office, where she handled various aspects of Honors special events, publications, development & fundraising, and alumni relations. Kate earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from the University of Georgia in 2014. While a student, she was a member of the university’s club rowing team for four years, serving one year as the women’s captain. She remains interested in researching issues related to university club and recreational sports program funding and organization throughout institutions across the nation.
