Kate Collier

Doctoral Student

Kate Collier is a current doctoral student at the McBee Institute of Higher Education. She works as a graduate assistant under Dr. Shelley Hooks, associate vice president for the Office of the Vice President of Research.

Kate earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Birmingham-Southern College and Master of Education in Administration of Higher Education at Auburn University. 



Prior to starting her doctoral work at McBee, Kate worked as an academic coach for Academic Support at Auburn University. She also worked as a graduate research assistant for Dr. Karley Riffe, an alumna of the Institute.

Kate’s research interests include the relationship of faculty expectations and burnout in the professoriate.
