Doctoral Student Jaden Mikoulinskii earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a minor in family studies. She graduated with a Master of Arts in Higher Education, Student Affairs, and International Education Policy from the University of Maryland-College Park. Prior to joining IHE, Jaden gained exposure to various advocacy and college access spaces as a Student Body President, Student Director of Academic Affairs, Graduate Intern for Orientation and Student Transition, Instructor of Record and Teaching Assistant courses, and Graduate Assistant for Enrollment Management and Undergraduate Admissions. Jaden’s work in education policy and research grew from her time as a McNair Scholar, a member of the Big Ten Academic Alliance through UW-Madison’s Summer Research Opportunity Program (SROP), the Institute for Higher Education Policy, the Maryland Higher Education Commission, the Executive Office of the President at the White House, the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Postsecondary Education, the Brookings Institution, and the Kamala Harris for President campaign. Jaden’s research interests lie in the intersection of institutional enrollment and economics, including the impact of public policy on institutional finance, operational effectiveness and governmental appropriations, generational involvement in education, and college choice. Jaden is currently a Research Assistant with the University System of Georgia’s Division of Research and Policy Analysis and works on the Higher Education team at The Century Foundation as a Graduate Research Intern.
