EdD, 2015 Deborah Dietzler is chief marketing officer for ePresence, which provides personal branding services. She previously served as associate vice president for Alumni Relations and Annual Giving at the University of Louisville, Kentucky and as the executive director for campaign engagement at the University of Georgia. During her tenure at UGA, she was promoted from director of alumni programs and services to associate director and was named executive director of Alumni Relations in January 2005, where she served until March 2014. The UGA Alumni Association has been honored with numerous regional CASE awards for excellence in alumni programming and communication. Widely considered a leader in her field, Dietzler is one of only five women in the chief alumni relations officer role at the US News and World Report Top 25 public institutions. She is a former president of the Alumni Directors of the Southeastern Conference and chaired the Council of Alumni Association Executives Summer 2008 Institute. Prior to arriving at UGA, she was director of alumni services at Teachers College, Columbia University. She also worked as director of alumni relations at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Dietzler is active in many charitable organizations in the Athens area and was named 2007 Businesswoman of the Year by readers of the Athens Banner-Herald. In June 2013, the Athens Rotary Club honored her with the Charles Ostick Work Horse Award in recognition for her service to the club and the community. Dietzler served as president of the Junior League of Athens in 2004-2005 and remains an active sustaining member. A native of Queens, N.Y., Dietzler received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Hofstra University and a Master of Science in marketing from Texas A&M University. She is an alumna of the executive doctoral program in higher education management through UGA's Institute of Higher Education.
