PhD, 2000 Dr. Pugh is the senior student affairs officer for Texas A&M University, providing vision and leadership to the Division of Student Affairs. Through his governance, the Division’s departments, programs and services work to provide student support and promote a culture of inclusivity, learning and success. Prior to his arrival at Texas A&M University, Dr. Pugh served as the Vice Provost for Student Affairs at the University of Arkansas, where he also held positions as Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Dean of Students as well as Associate Professor of Higher Education in the College of Education and Health Professions’ Higher Education Leadership Program. Dr. Pugh has held several leadership positions in professional associations such as the National Association for Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), James E. Scott Leadership Academy and the executive committee for the Council of Student Affairs in the Association of Public and Land Grant Universities (APLU). Dr. Pugh is also actively engaged with many additional national student affairs associations.
