Tracey Ford

Tracey D. Ford is the associate vice chancellor for student affairs for the University of Texas System.

Ford previously serviced as interim vice provost for student affairs at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem. She also had been a member of the senior leadership team at Tennessee State University (TSU), first as vice president for student affairs and then as assistant professor and executive director for strategic initiatives.

Prior to moving to North Carolina, Ford worked as assistant vice president for academic and student affairs for the University of North Carolina System, 2013-2017 and as director of the Center for Academic Excellence at North Carolina A&T State University, where she successfully rebranded the campus’ academic support areas and operations.

With more than 20 years of experience in academic and student affairs, Ford is a champion for higher education access and student success for underrepresented and low-income students. She has built a strong foundation for driving strategies and solutions in academic policy and enrollment management.

Tracey Ford (EdD 2002) has been named the next associate vice chancellor for student affairs at The University of Texas System. She will assume this position in late March 2023.
