Tracey Ford (EdD 2002) has been named the next associate vice chancellor for student affairs at The University of Texas System. She will assume this position in late March 2023.

In her role as associate vice chancellor, Ford "will serve as a resource to student affairs leaders across the eight UT academic institutions and provide strategic direction in the support and expansion of programs addressing student affairs and campus life issues with a focus on student mental and physical health and well-being."

Currently, Ford serves as the vice provost and dean of student affairs at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. With over 20 years of experience in higher education, her career began at the University of Georgia as the director of the Office of Institutional Diversity.

Before receiving her EdD at the McBee Institute, she obtained her masters from Howard University and bachelors form Norfolk State University.

In 2019, Ford delivered the keynote address at the UGA Chapter of the NAACP's annual Image Awards ceremony. During her visit to Athens, she held a lunch with McBee Institute students to share experience and lessons from her career in student affairs.

Congratulations to Tracey Ford on this new role starting in March!
