PhD, 2020 Andrew Crain is the lead recruitment consultant with the University of Missouri System. He works most closely with the Missouri University of Science & Technology to facilitate executive search and endowed faculty recruitment. Previously, he served as the director of experiential professional development at the UGA Graduate School. Crain also has been a talent acquisition specialist at the University of Georgia and a staff member in the UGA Career Center. Professionally, Crain is passionate about career planning and development, mentoring future professionals, and organizational change. He presents regularly on LinkedIn on these and other career development topics and is a past president of the Georgia Association of Colleges and Employers (GACE). Crain’s research focuses on critical lines of inquiry, particularly around the issues of rural student access and success within higher education. Other interests include the educational landscape of Post-Katrina New Orleans and the Black Lives Matter movement, which offer unique windows into higher education’s response to internal and external challenges. Andrew also maintains an interest in career development topics, including experiential learning and STEM workforce development.
