Justin Jeffery

Justin Jeffery earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Kent State University (OH). Prior to starting his doctoral work at IHE, Jeffery worked two years at Georgia Southern University as the Assistant Director of Student Activities where he was responsible for large campus programming, student organization development, and spirit and tradition initiatives. Prior to his work at Georgia Southern, Jeffery spent three years working in Doha, Qatar, for the Qatar Foundation serving in multiple functional areas including residence life, leadership and service, and campus programming. His research interests include internationalization efforts in higher education, town-gown relations and its impact on institutional growth, and higher education governance structures.

Jeffery currently serves as the assistant vice president for the division of student affairs at Texas A&M University. He previously was the director of international student life at UGA and volunteered with NASPA as the State Director for Georgia.
