Ginger Fay

A sought-after college counselor and speaker on the topic of college admissions, Fay has over 25 years of experience in the field. She holds a BA in Psychology and MA in Liberal Studies form Duke University. Ginger served as an admissions office at Duke for five years, including two years as the transfer admissions coordinator. She has read applications for multiple admissions and scholarship programs including Emory University, Coca-Cola Scholars, and the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. 

Fay previously served as an associate director of college counseling at Philips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts and as director of alumni relations at Sidwell Friends School in Washington DC. She was also an interim upper school counselor at Atlanta International School before serving as the founding director of college counseling at The New School in Atlanta, GA and then as global director of partnerships at Applerouth Education. Fay brings innovation and organization to every endeavor.

An author, activist and entrepreneur, Fay has written numerous articles and has spoken at dozens of high schools and national conferences on subjects ranging from higher education access to digital testing to scholarship searching. She founded her own college counseling practice in 2006 and has a particular affinity for working with first-generation college students, students recovering from addiction and/or mental health challenges, and members fo LGBTQ+ community. Fay is an active volunteer with the Chastain Chapter of Young Men's Service League and serves as co-president of the Pace Academy Arts Alliance.
