As an administrator, she helped advance UGA’s academic and service missions; as a legislator, she played important roles in ensuring the future of the HOPE Scholarship and launching initiatives such as the Governor’s Teaching Fellows program.We seek a scholar who will advance the multi-disciplinary character of the McBee Institute, addto the depth and breadth of our faculty, and undertake work that furthers our understandings ofhigher education. Candidates should have a doctoral degree in higher education or an equivalentterminal degree in a complementary field (e.g., economics, law, management, political science,public policy, sociology) and should bring a distinguished record in instruction, scholarlyresearch, and extramural funding focused on the study of higher education.
