The professorship honors Dr. Louise McBee, who held leadership positions at the University of Georgia before serving for over a decade as a champion for higher education in the Georgia legislature. We seek a scholar of national and international prominence who will advance the multi-disciplinary character of the McBee Institute, add substantially to the depth and breadth of our faculty, and develop improved understanding of higher education.
