This week it was announced that Lady Cox (IHE EdD, 2019), Auburn University’s Associate Vice President for Student Affairs is a co-author of the recently released book, College Ready 2021: Expert Advice for Parents to Simplify the College Transition.

Cox joins thirteen other family relations professionals from major universities around the country in contributing to the book.

“This year, more than ever, parents have questions about sending their students to college,” said Cox. “College Ready 2021 provides practical guidance on what should be done during the summer, at drop-off, and throughout the first semester.”

Each chapter addresses a top-of-mind concern and is written by a university official who works with parents to enhance student success at the collegiate level. Cox wrote the chapter focused on helping your student stay mentally and physically health in college.

“Mental health is a top concern of college parents, so this chapter provides guidance on how parents can support their students,” added Cox. “Plus, College Ready 2021 is full of ideas on how to start those tough but essential conversations before drop-off.”

More about College Ready 2021 can be found at https://collegeready.guide, and the book is available through Amazon.

The book’s publisher, Wise Action, inspires, prepares and supports parents of adolescents and young adults with expert advice. More about Wise Action can be found at https://wiseaction.co.
