Image: Dr. Chris Greer, a regular speaker in our GTF program and professor at Georgia College, made the front page of Channel 13 WMAZ's website for his innovative use of technology in the classroom. Dr Greer worked with a graduate assistant, Hannah Jones, to create a YouTube channel called Virtual Reality Georgia. The channel offers 3D "field trips" to Georgia's historical tourist destinations for schools that wouldn't be able to organize visits in person for students. According to Greer, "This is a way to bring Cumberland Island into the classroom in as immersive of a way as possible."
