Robinson Receives Data Driven Program Director Award Jessica Robinson, GCAC director 2018-2020, received this year’s Data Driven Program Director Award from the College Advising Corps (CAC). The award recognizes Robinson's emphasis on tracking actionable data and using it to achieve sustained results. CAC regional director Ariel Cochrane-Brown said, "Jessica is an amazing program leader." She specifically noted GCAC's robust data dashboard and sophisticated data analysis techniques. This system “helps advisers prioritize efforts during their busiest time of year to continue progress towards [their] goals." Hodo and Johnson Win 2019 True North Award Delisha Hodo and Brionna Johnson each received the 2019 Peter and Laurie Grauer True North Award. This award recognizes advisers who demonstrate impact, grace, humility, leadership, and the ability to guide students and fellow advisers in a way that makes College Advising Corps a better organization,” said Laurie Grauer. “Delisha and Brionna embody our mission and core values. They go above and beyond each day to advance our efforts to build a results-oriented, proven near-peer adviser approach.” Hodo serves as an eAdviser with CAC’s CollegePoint online advising program, which helps high school students navigate the college application and financial aid process. She served as a GCAC adviser for two years prior to transitioning to CollegePoint. “I’m truly honored and thankful to have been chosen a True North award recipient,” shared Hodo. “This award is for every student I’ve had the opportunity to serve. I wouldn’t be who I am today—both personally and professionally—without the leadership of GCAC and the innovation of CAC and our CollegePoint eadvising team.” Brionna Johnson is a current GCAC adviser at Clarke Central High School in Athens. “Getting to create relationships with my students and their families is what propels me,” said Johnson. “I find great satisfaction is being a resource for the community as a whole and not just the school I support.” Type of News/Audience: 2020 IHE Report Tags: IHE Report Institute of Higher Education Georgia College Advising Corps UGA public service programs
