Six members of the IHE community graduated during our socially-distanced spring. Since the usual trappings around this major achievement have been postponed until Commencement ceremonies on December 13, 2020, faculty and staff made a video to toast each of them and wish them congratulations https://youtu.be/xj_VD0x-tmg. 

  • Andrew Crain (PhD) is director of experiential professional development (xPD) at the UGA Graduate School, coordinating efforts to facilitate student success in non-academic career fields. Andrew is also a research affiliate at the Center for Research on College-Workforce Transitions (CCWT) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
  • Lindsey Hammond (PhD) is postdoctoral postsecondary career and technical education (CTE) research fellow at NC State University sponsored by the ECMC Foundation. Investigating how stigma related to CTE influences state-level policy formation. Ultimately, she hopes to affect policy change that will enable America to live up to its highest ideals.
  • Holly Hawk (PhD) is lecturer at the J.M. Tull School of Accounting in the UGA Terry College of Business. Focusing on promoting higher order skills utilizing various pedagogical techniques in both her specialized graduate and introductory accounting courses.
  • Rhani Lott (EdD) is assistant director of student engagement at Emory Law. She trains and supervises the Dean’s Teaching Fellows, high-achieving upper-year law students who serve as academic counselors for their fellow students. Rhani teaches in the area of advocacy, including cross-examination techniques and pretrial litigation. 
  • Maya Mapp (MEd) is student government & leadership coordinator at University of California, Santa Cruz. She mentors and supports SGA officers, particularly in their leadership development, budgeting and finance, programming, and compliance.Placement Rate
  • Julie Staggs (EdD) is founder & managing principal of Beyond Theory to Practice. Julie helps individuals and institutions create and sustain impact. Currently she is working with several R1 Institutions as executive coach to senior leaders, providing leadership assessments for deans, and leading both a Provost’s office restructuring project and a strategic planning process.
