On Monday, October 7 at 6pm in Lab Space of Cine, Paul Tough will share his perspectives from his new book, The Years that Matter Most: How College Makes or Breaks Us. Drawing on his research and dozens of visits to campuses across the country, Tough offers his thoughts on how the landscape of higher education has shifted in recent decades and how the system works.

As a journalist, he tells the stories of students trying to find their way, with hope, joy, and frustration, through the application process and into college.

The event is co-sponsored by IHE, the Willson Center for Humanities & Arts, and the UGA Office of Research.
