Master's Student
Jessica Blackwood is the Assistant Director of Signature Events and Stewardship at the University of West Georgia. She is pursuing her Master of Education degree in Higher Education Administration with the Louise McBee Institute of Higher Education at the University of Georgia.

Jessica is new to the world of higher education but instantly found this to be her home. Coming from a philanthropic background, she most enjoys connecting donors with their scholarship recipients so they can see the full circle impact of their giving. She also loves being able to facilitate long-term giving relationships that will enable generations of future scholars to have access to the tools they need to be successful in life.

By expanding her knowledge of the higher education ecosystem, Jessica hopes to gain a holistic view of how donor relations play a critical role in the sustainability of universities. This will help her develop key strategies to span stewardship to a campus wide initiative that will provide our students with transformational experiences to carry with them into life after college.
