Marti Brick

Marti Brick serves as the senior director of community relations and marketing at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. In this role, she is responsible for establishing cooperative relationships with key stakeholders  She also leads the Continuing Education, Communications and Marketing team. Marti brings over 20 years of tradition and many years of experience working on leadership challenges and internal and external communications.

Prior to this role she was the director of alumni relations for the college.

As a native Georgian, Marti is successful in establishing cooperative relationships with key stakeholders. Her recent success was a multi-level collaboration on an animal birthing center at the state fair. She is also responsible for developing a leadership series focused on staff in veterinary medicine. She is an active member of the agriculture associations and commodity groups in Georgia and South Carolina. She is a member of the 6th executive Ed.D. cohort in higher education management.

Marti's research interests include boards in higher education.  Her dissertation will focus on the roles and responsibilities of alumni boards in recently consolidated instructions. Through coursework at IHE she has developed an interest in rurality around recruitment and support in professional degree programs.
