EdD, 2013 Kara Brown Robinson is associate dean for admissions and student affairs at the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University. In this capacity she oversees all enrollment management functions (admissions, registration, financial aid) for 1000 graduate professional students in addition to community-engaged learning programs, student conduct, the Rollins Earn and Learn Program (an internal work-study program) and English as a Second Language/International Student Affairs. Robinson holds a bachelor of arts in psychology from Spelman College and a master of science in community counseling from Georgia State University. Dr. Robinson began her professional career in career counseling and distance education, later moving into the field of admissions. She is currently chair-elect of the School of Public Health Application Service Advisory Board and is a recent co-chair for the Student Services Council for the Association of Schools of Public Health. Dr. Robinson has presented at conferences including the National Association of Academic Advisors, American Public Health Association and the Association for Schools of Public Health Annual Meeting and has served on numerous university committees related to the interest of students. She currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband and son.
