EdD, 2011 Larry Christenson serves as the executive director of university housing at Georgia College and State University. Prior to accepting the position at Georgia College, Christenson was director of housing in the Department of Residential Life at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota, a position he held since 2004. He previously held the same post at the University of Minnesota – Morris. He also held positions as associate director of administrative operations, Kent State University; area coordinator, Kent State University; and international admissions/program specialist and residence hall director at Western Michigan University. He served five years as a residence hall director at Western Michigan University. Christenson received his master’s degree in educational leadership from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Mich.; a B.S. in elementary education Moorhead State University in Moorhead, Minn.; and a technical broadcast degree from Brown Institute in Minneapolis, Minn. He spent his senior year of high school in Thailand as an AFS International Student and has lived and traveled extensively throughout Asia and Europe. He is a member of the Association of College University Housing Officers, where he has served on various committees and made presentations at conferences. He is a member of the first cohort of the Executive Ed.D. in Higher Education Management who graduated in December 2011.
