Former Chancellor, University System of Georgia

Steve Wrigley is the former chancellor of the University System of Georgia, where he oversaw 26 public colleges and universities, the Georgia Public Library System, and the Georgia Archives before his retirement in 2021. Prior to this role, he served as the executive vice chancellor of administration for the University System of Georgia. Wrigley formerly served as senior vice president for external affairs, as well as vice president for government relations, at the University of Georgia. He also worked in state government, most notably as chief of staff to former Governor Zell Miller. Wrigley earned his undergraduate degree from Georgia State University and his Ph.D. from Northwestern University. He also serves as a McBee Fellow.
