Husch Blackwell recently announced that Chuck Ambrose (EdD 1989) has joined its higher education practice group as a senior consultant.

In the Blackwell news release, Ambrose expressed his motivation, “I am excited to join the Husch Blackwell team. The firm really stands apart from the field in terms of its depth of industry knowledge and the scope of services it provides to college leaders."

Ambrose continued, "It is a brave new world in higher ed, and for many schools, focusing on the core missions while managing operational and financial disruption is going to require a lot of creativity and outside-the-box thinking.”

Hayley Hanson, Husch Blackwell partner, said, “We have always been impressed by Chuck’s comprehensive understanding of how each piece of the higher ed puzzle fits into the whole. We are very pleased to have a resource like Chuck on board, and our clients are going to benefit greatly from his expertise as they address the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.”

Ambrose is a frequent speaker and writer on higher education topics and is the co-author of the forthcoming book Colleges on the Brink: The Case for Financial Exigency from Rowman & Littlefield Publishers.

Ambrose has had a distinguished career as an innovative and strategic leader of universities and of major non-profit organizations.
