Master's Student
Olivia Sawyer earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia in Social Entrepreneurship in 2023. She joins the McBee Institute of Higher Education as an M.Ed. candidate, pursuing her degree in Higher Education Administration. 
 
Sawyer currently works as a Program Associate with the Higher Education team at New America, focusing on public opinion and equity in postsecondary education. Her previous experience includes a graduate internship with the Democratic Staff of the U.S. House Committee on Education and the Workforce, where she supported federal policy efforts around college affordability, campus climates, and access. She also contributed to state-level higher education policy through two internships at the Georgia State Capitol.  Sawyer is committed to developing and supporting policies that ensure all students, regardless of background, have the opportunity to access and succeed in higher education.
