PhD, 2022 Stephen Mayfield is a Research Analyst at RTI International. Prior to earning his PhD, Stephen served as Assistant Director of Foundation Relations at Georgia Gwinnett College. Prior to that, he served as Director of Institutional Research & Effectiveness at Gwinnett Technical College. He is a graduate of the Association of Institutional Research's Data and Decisions Academy as well as the Gwinnett Young Professionals Leadership Institute. His research interests include the economics of higher education and the effectiveness of emergent institutional models on student affordability, access, and success. At the McBee Institute, he worked as a graduate research assistant for Dr. Toutkoushian. He also served as treasurer for HESS (Higher Education Student Society). He holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Economics and Modern Languages, summa cum laude, from Georgia State University.
