Nick Everage is a strategic, policy focused, post-secondary education professional with experience at both public and private institutions. His experience ranges from advising students in significant academic distress to supporting senior executives within higher education -- both driven by assembling diverse teams of stakeholders to implement mission-driven projects.

Currently, Nick serves as Special Assistant to the Provost and Project Manager at Emory University. He partners with key leadership and staff to manage administrative and executive operations, support key institutional committees, and coordinates special projects that align with priorities of the Office of the Provost.

Prior to relocating to Atlanta, Nick served Assistant to the Dean at the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University, where he managed the operational component of the Dean’s office and planed, researched, and coordinated special projects. Before Duke, he served as the Program Specialist for Student Success at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he supported an interdisciplinary committee in their efforts to biannually identify 1,200 + students experiencing significant academic distress and connect them with academic support resources.

Nick received his Bachelor of Art in Political Science and Leadership Studies from Elon University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. His research interests include effective administrative governance and organization models, first-generation student persistence, and nontraditional college pathways (such as early/middle college).
