Image: IHE Research Roundtable brought together a group of research awardees and reviewers to share their experience and answer questions about getting dissertation research funding from NAE/Spencer Foundation, AERA, and NSF/AERA. The speakers, Dr. Lois Weis (SUNY Buffalo), Katie Reeb-Reascos (SUNY Buffalo), Dr. George Spencer (IHE), and Hee Jung Gong (IHE), each have experience either as reviewers or as recent recipients of major research fellowships. Speakers discussed many topics, including democratizing access to major research grants, how and where to apply for funding, the specifics of the awards, and general tips for applicants.
