Friday, September 9, 2022 - 2pm Meigs Hall, 108 General Event Dr. Keys has broad experience in education non-profit foundations and outreach organizations. He is currently a program officer for postsecondary success with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Keys can talk about a variety of topics, but anyone interested in learning more about higher education intermediary organizations and the landscape of philanthropy should register quickly. After teaching in high school, Keys earned his Ph.D. and joined the Southern Education Foundation where he helped build out their higher education programming. He also served in the Office of the Superintendent of Education at the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities, as director of equity & network engagement at Achieving the Dream, as chief strategist in UNCF- The United Negro College Fund, and as a program officer at the Ascendum Education Group. The UGA Alumni Association recently recognized Keys as one of its 40 Under 40 honorees for 2022.
