William Hargrove

Doctoral Student

William Hargrove is a part-time doctoral student at the McBee Institute of Higher Education and currently serves as the Director of Student Volunteerism and Service at Kennesaw State University. He has professional experience in several functional areas within Student Affairs, including fraternity and sorority life, civic and community engagement, and leadership development. Hargrove is an assessment-driven and visionary leader on a mission to develop students as engaged, responsible citizens through service initiatives.  

Hargrove’s research interests include the public service mission of higher education orchestrated through student programming, impact of co-curricular experiential learning on students and communities, and workplace issues related to Student Affairs practitioners. He has presented his conceptual and practice-based work in multiple conference settings, including ASHE, Campus Compact, and SACSA.    

Hargrove earned his Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Samford University.
