Sarah Vincent Sonenberg

Sarah Vincent Sonenberg is the Director of Operations and Strategy in the Office of Philanthropic Partnership at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where she oversees the operations and strategic initiatives for MIT's principal and transformational gift fundraising enterprise, supporting gifts of $5M - $100M+ and serves as a key partner to the President's Office and Resource Development leadership. 

Prior to MIT, she served as the Senior Director of Alumni Chapters in the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at the University of Georgia. In that role, she was responsible for managing the alumni chapters team and providing oversight for 80+ chapters that bring UGA alumni together in local communities around the world. She worked on sustaining the alumni chapter structure and ensured the ongoing recruitment, training and leadership of chapter volunteers. 

Sarah graduated from Georgia College and State University with her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications. She has worked in higher education for over a decade in development and alumni relations, previously serving Augusta University and Emory University before joining UGA in 2018. She earned her Master's in Higher Education Administration from the Louise McBee Institute of Higher Education in 2024.
