Nancy Byron

Doctoral Student

Nancy Byron is currently the assistant dean at Georgia State University in Atlanta where she leads marketing, academic innovations, and strategic partnerships for the Graduate School. Her research interests include access to higher education and online student success.

She has nearly 20 years of higher education experience and a decade of working with university leadership to build new infrastructure for online education at large research universities. She has expertise in academic portfolio design to drive market alignment, administrative leadership, online education, enrollment growth marketing, and corporate partnerships.

Nancy's higher education career began at the University of Georgia where she served as marketing manager in the Terry College of Business. She later led the brand and enrollment marketing efforts that launched and grew the University of Georgia's online endeavors before becoming the director of Georgia State Online.

Nancy holds an MBA from UGA Terry College of Business and a Graduate Certificate in Media Analytics from UGA Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.
