Lisa F. Fowler serves as vice president of student success at Red Rock Community College in Lakewood, CO, which is located at the foot of the Rocky Mountains and offers more than 150 programs and 650 courses leading to two-year degrees or professional certificates. Previously, she served as assistant vice president of enrollment management and student success at Georgia Perimeter College (GPC), a multi-campus, two-year college serving more than 25,000 students in Atlanta, Georgia. In that role she was responsible for overseeing enrollment services, which is comprised of the following departments: Recruitment, Admissions and Orientation; Enrollment and Registration Services; International Student Admissions and Advising; Testing Services; Learning Support Services; and Advising, Counseling and Retention Services.  

At GPC, Fowler led the Enrollment Services Administrative Team, whose job it is to enable the college to meet its recruitment, enrollment, retention, graduation and transfer objectives. Among her many accomplishments in this role are the retooling of the new student orientation processes, serving as the co-chair for  the Planning/Governance/Communications Summit, which examined current planning, governance and communications at the college and authoring a grant leading to the establishment of the First-Year Experience Program.

Prior to her current position, Fowler was the GPC dean of students for one of GPC’s campus locations. Fowler began her career at Georgia Perimeter as college-wide director for disability services, a role she held for five years.

Originally from Tennessee, Fowler served as a rehabilitation counselor for the Tennessee Division of Rehabilitation Services and an American Sign Language interpreter for Tennessee Valley Authority in Knoxville.  Fowler holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Maryville College in Maryville, Tennessee, and a Master of Science degree from the University of Tennessee, as well as National Certification in American Sign Language Interpreting. She is a member of the first cohort of the Executive Ed.D. in Higher Education Management who graduated in December 2011.
