Kayla McKinney

Kayla McKinney is the Coordinator of Student Engagement at the Mary Frances Early College of Education of the University of Georgia. 

Kayla is a 2019 graduate of the University of Michigan where she received her B.A. in Creative Writing and Literature. While at U of M she also held two minors in Women Studies and Community Action & Social Change.

Her primary passion is student advocacy, specifically when it comes to diversity and multicultural efforts. As such, she is also pursuing a DEI Certificate from the Mary Frances Early College of Education. Her professional interests include college access for underrepresented students, multicultural competency skills in student affairs, college student leadership, student success, and sexual assault prevention on college campuses.

Kayla served as the graduate assistant for Student Engagement at the Office of Alumni Relations.
